Fabian Thomas M.A., B.A.

English by birth, Jamaican by parentage, Fabian describes himself as an Actor, director, poet, writer, singer, Communications Consultant, Trainer/Facilitator and HIV/AIDS Educator. He was the Entertainment Manager at Sandals Royal Caribbean for 5 years and added Training to his portfolio in his last 2 years at the resort. In 2000, The Jamaica Federation of Musicians gave him 2 awards as Entertainment Manager of the Year.

With degrees from the University of the West Indies and Fordham University, he has worked in the capacity of Programme Officer, Director of Resource Mobilization & Education and facilitated capacity building and strategic planning for various NGO/CBOs including International HIV/AIDS Alliance (Caribbean office), Jamaica AIDS Support for Life and the National AIDS Committee (Jamaica). He has been a Consultant with many other organizations including the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies, Jamaica Red Cross, CARE (Trinidad), TRISTAR (Antigua), CRN+ (Caribbean Headquarters), HOPE-PALS (Grenada), Health, Hope & HIV Foundation (Antigua), US Peace Corps (Jamaica) and Jamaica Network of Seropositives (Jamaica). He has also worked as a Drama Consultant with Bronx Creative Arts for Youth (USA), Hope for Children Development Co., (Jamaica), Youth Now (Jamaica) and Children & Community for Change (Jamaica).

He currently freelances under the mantle of his sole trader company Sankofa Arts & Facilitation. Fabian is dedicated to the training/facilitation and the Performing Arts as tools for transformation.
